"The Lila Star Journal"

Women

Women,
I find myself in an emotional situation and all I can think of is talking to another woman.

What makes the voice of another woman ring true? What makes vibrations of feminine energy connect, to trust to comfort? I am constantly amazed at how our subconcious guides us to what we need to hear or feel or experience most at any given time.

My husband had been taken to hospital and I was feeling increasingly anxious. An e-mail in my inbox reminded me about cloud scrying something I find comforting between endless hours of waiting for news. It helps me to channel and focus and again Rescue Remedy was my constant companion. That stuff should be in every womans handbag.

But when it was nightime, and I was alone, babe in bed , husband in hospital thats when it struck... only another womans comfort would do, somebody who would just listen and make me feel better... so I picked up the phone to a girlfriend and everything was instantly brighter.

It seems to be a red thread through my life , that connecting with women, creating space for women to connect and acknowledging feminine bonds is what I am driven to do at this moment in time.

I am grateful for knowing that

An Inspirational Quote to ponder:

There came a time
when the risk to remain tight in a bud
was more painful
than the risk it took to blossom

A Living Goddess:

A nepalese living goddess, chosen at about 3 or 4 years old, from the clan which buddha belonged to ,makes a rare outside visit. Feelings in myself are all mixed up, the thought of a young girl prevented to see the outside world seems very at odds with natural living. The discarding of the goddess once she reaches menstruation seems also a turning point. Although I have since learned that any kind of major bleeding is seen as the goddess spirit leaving the body. Tradition in various religions and spiritualities always evoke strong emotions, meant to guide me, to learn from , to find my own place in the spiral of life.

Sailing into the Sunset

In todays world, I have the freedom of choice. I can pick and choose how or if I worship.
I can express my spirituality through rituals of modern or ancient beliefs and be guided by myths of days gone by.
There has been a feeling evident in many places where women gather, a feeling of movement, a swing around , a return to acknowledging our feminine spirituality, to honoring ancient feminine practices and a reconnection with the magical natural powers of our mother earth. There is an enlightening variety of goddess traditions and spiritual rituals to learn from and I am on a journey to joyfully explore and find myself within the leaves and folds of mother earths bounty.

Join me and lets each set sail into our own sunset.
